6 Easy Steps to Keep a Positive Attitude
A positive attitude allows us to focus on our strengths and achievements, instead of allowing negative thinking to stop us in our tracks, when it comes to making and maintaining progress as an online entrepreneur.
If you can follow these 6 easy steps you will start to see a marked difference in the way you think and feel about keeping a positive attitude.
1. Healthy Body, Healthy Mind. Get plenty of rest, eat healthy and exercise regularly once a week as a minimum.
2. Appreciate What You Have. If you can appreciate all the good things that you have and are happening in your life then you will find that more of those good things will come to you, almost without effort. This will then naturally help you keep your positive attitude to your life. Take time out each day to count your blessings and appreciate what you have already.
3. Believe in YOU. Wanting acceptance from other people around us is a natural thing to do. Whether it is through nervousness or fear of failure, it comes down to a lack of belief in your self. So don’t worry, because that fear is usually false.
Regardless of other people’s opinions, if you know yourself that your chosen course of action is the right one for you, don’t let anyone persuade you otherwise.
4. Be Aware Of What You Say. Or more to the point, how you say it. What I mean is, using certain words or phrases can be the difference between doubting your self and your decisions and keeping a strong positive attitude. Notice when you use certain words like “can’t” or “too hard”, and change the words you use.
Words like these will have a negative effect on how you think and feel. So start to change the words you use. So when facing a challenge, it’s not that you can’t do it, it’s more a case of you can’t do it YET.
5. Take Note Of Negative Thinking. If you start to have negative thoughts and your positive attitude starts to dwindle, be aware of it. The first step in changing your thoughts is awareness. Only then can you recognize it and then do something about it. When any negative thoughts start to come, recognize them for what they are and choose to not think that way.
6. Don’t Think About It, Do It. Many people experience the ‘paralysis of analysis’. This is the result of constantly planning what you are going to do without ever putting those plans into action. Plans can always change along the way so once you have the basics of a plan, act on it. You can always adapt and change how you are going about something along the way. Always keep going forwards. If you are doing nothing, you are going backwards.
